Vidösternsimmet is a three-race event with a 0.5 km, 6 km and signature 21 km marathon swim across in Lake Vidöstern in Småland, Sweden.

As the race organizers state, “The Lake Vidöstern is a very tough lake to master, swimming. The wind often blows with a strength of 4-7 m/s and fog is quite common.”

The legs are as follows: 3.7 km Osudden-Funtabo, 3.9 km Funtabo-Tånnö, 5.5 km Tånnö-E4:ans Camping, 3.4 km E4:an Camping-Ekens Camping, and 5.0 km Ekens Camping-Sundet.
