‘Twas the days before Christmas and all along the coast,
The swimmers were gathering to give it their most;

The seashore was calm, looking all tranquil and bare,
Awaiting the paddlers who would soon be there;

Before sunrise, swimmers are inspired with dreams in their heads,
Pushing themselves in the water, far better than any meds;

With the older swimmers so successful in reaching the next shore,
It’s now up to the next generation to even the score;

With talent abundant, young men and women are ready,
To truly live up to aspirations that are so heady;

On Dover! On Tsugaru! On Cook and Gibraltar!
Swim on, swim on, never to falter;

And to all of you who are swimmer’s crew and friends,
My thanks to you again, as another year ends.
