“We have 80 swimmers this year who will swim from 9 am on Saturday to 9 am on Sunday,” explained Suzie Dods who created the 24 Hour Swim Relay in San Francisco’s Aquatic Park.
The 24 Hour Swim is a relay that started in 2014 and was inspired by the 24 Heures La Tuque 2-person relay sanctioned by the World Professional Marathon Swimming Federation in the 1970s.
This year’s edition is the largest assembly of 24’ers since 2014.
