Arena 9 wetsuits seemed to be the favored neoprene choice among the professional swimmers at the FINA/HOSA Marathon Swim World Series held in Setúbal Bay, Portugal this past weekend where Kristof Rasovszky of Hungary was the defending champion in Setúbal Bay and is among the top echelon of professional swimmers, but he was only able to manage two 12th-place finishes at both previous FINA/HOSA Marathon Swim World Series races this year.

But the conditions and six-loop course seem to suit the Hungarian who won again in 1:55:57. “I am really happy. I won here in Setúbal last year and it is nice to win again. It was windy, the water was cold so we had to swim in wetsuits and it was hard because we had never swum in a race in wetsuits before.”

Well behind Rasovszky by 24 seconds, but ahead of the rest of the pack was Mario Sanzullo who was very satisfied. “It is my first time in a podium in a World Series event, so now I can say that I love Setúbal.”

In a week, the competitors will face off again at the next FINA/HOSA Marathon Swim World Series race in Balatonfüred, Hungary on June 16th.
