With so many luminaries in the sport descending upon San Francisco for the 2018 Open Water Summit held at The Olympic Club between November 9th – 11th, it was inevitable that swimmers would find themselves in the water – before, during and after the Summit.

While a swim from Alcatraz Island is scheduled for November 11th, several swimmers are participating in a low-key 10 km marathon swim in San Francisco Bay on Friday, November 9th. They will start at the Golden Gate Bridge at 9:00 am with a finish at the Bay Bridge.

If others wants to join Amy Appelhans Gubser, Ranie Pearce, Jaimie Monahan, Ger Kennedy, Antonio Argüelles, Shelley Taylor-Smith, Adrian Sarchet, Sally Minty-Gravett MBE, and Robin Rasmussen Rose, they can register here with Pacific Open Water Swim Co. and select Ger’s 10K.
