Kate Greene, winner of the initial Adventure Swim Contest, finalized her series of swims across America.

Kate, information technology specialist and prolific science and technology journalist, will do 1-3 mile swims in every American state between Tennessee and California: Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona and California.

She self-taught herself how to swim by watching every YouTube video she could find on technique. Within months, she completed swims from San Francisco Bay to a 4.5-mile race in the Tennessee River. She will do solo swims between 1-3 miles along her drive across the United States:

May 28th: Percy Priest Lake, outside Nashville, Tennessee
May 31st: Mississippi River, outside Memphis, Tennessee
June 1st: Sardis Lake, outside Oxford, Mississippi
June 3rd: Lake Pontchartrain, New Orleans, Louisiana
June 6th: Beaver Lake, Beaver Lake, Arkansas
June 8th: Missouri River, Kansas City, Missouri
June 10th: Clinton Lake, Lawrence, Kansas (Kansas 70.3 Triathlon)
June 13th: Kanopolis Lake, outside Ellsworth, Kansas
June 17th: Boulder Reservoir, Boulder, Colorado
June 18th: Green River, Green River, Wyoming
June 19th: Great Salt Lake, Salt Lake City, Utah
June 22nd: Saguaro Lake, outside Phoenix, Arizona
June 25th: Salton Sea, Salton City, California
June 26th: La Jolla Cove, San Diego, California
June 28th: Millerton Lake, outside Fresno, California
June 29th: Aquatic Park, San Francisco, California
