Ray Gandy is hooked.

After completing the English Channel in 2009 in 13 hours 34 minutes, he found and felt he had a lot more marathon swims left in him to complete after reaching the summit of the channel swimming world.

On July 14th, Gandy will attempt an unprecedented 50-mile double crossing of Lake Memphremagog to support the Indoor Recreation Orleans County (IROC). He will start in Newport, Rhode Island on the American side of the lake and then head towards Magog on the Quebec, Canada side of the lake.

Gandy will be seeking donations of US$100 a mile on his 2012 IROC Challenge that may take him up to 30 hours in an effort to raise US$5000.
