Emily Brunemann is traveling westward to compete in the Far East where she hopes to capture her first overall FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup title with races in Shantou, China and Hong Kong. The Shantou leg is this coming September 29th and the Hong Kong leg is on October 5th.

Brunemann holds a commanding lead with 86 points over her closest rivals Ana Marcela Cunha of Brazil and Martina Grimaldi of Italy, each with 66 points, but nothing is ever guaranteed in the open water.
