Jordan Wilimovsky has had a busy summer between training with his Team Santa Monica mates to qualifying for the USA Swimming National Open Water Swimming Championships in Lake Castaic to placing 14th in the 25 km race at the 2013 FINA World Championships in Barcelona, Spain. The California native got a bit of rest before heading off to university and beginning the school year at Northwestern. But he could not stay out of the open water.

He dominated the Big Shoulders 5 km competition in Lake Michigan and stood on top of the podium along with the women’s winner Luane Rowe of FINIS who has bounced around this summer from the Cayman Islands to across lakes and down the coast of California to Hawaii and now to Lake Michigan in Illinois.
