The Time Freight Lake Heritage 3 km Challenge, one of Africa’s Top 100 Open Water Swims, will be held this weekend on March 30th in South Africa.

This event offers both 1500m and 3 km distances providing ideal training opportunities for triathletes gearing up for the upcoming Ironman and the ITU World Triathlon Series in Cape Town,” describes race director Wayne Riddin.

Wetsuits are allowed at the event on Sunday at the Heia Safari Ranch; however, swimmers in wetsuits will not be eligible for prizes.”

The Heia Safari Ranch is one of the most popular attractions in Gauteng, 30 minutes from Johannesburg and Pretoria. In the tranquil African bushveld, it offers an unique African ambience with the experience of mystical Africa.
