One of the greatly appreciated parameters of ocean swimming is when local municipalities clean and sweep the beaches early in the morning.

The result is a welcome red carpet for early morning swimmers, triathletes, paddlers, kayakers, windsurfers and surfers. Walking towards the shore becomes thoroughly enjoyable as you gaze off to the horizon, wondering about the water temperature and observing the water conditions.

The footprints in the sand enable you to appreciate your effort in becoming one of the first to enjoy Mother Nature.

Beach cleaning machines like the Barber Surf Rake manufactured by H. Barber & Sons, has been cleaning seashores in over 90 countries on 6 continents. When these machines remove man-made debris such as glass, syringes, plastic, cans, and cigarettes, and things such as shells, stone, wood, and seaweed.
