She has beauty, brawn and brains.

She threw in speed, stamina and strength in her equation over the course of her storied career and it is no wonder she was a multi-time European and world champion in open water swimming.

Germany’s Britta Kamrau is currently a member of the FINA Athletes Commission and the FINA Athletes Committee who will be one of the featured speakers at the FINA World Aquatics Convention in Doha, Qatar next week.

Like her championship victories in the 5 km, 10 km and 25 km between 2002 and 2007, Kamrau is always balancing a full load. Currently she is raising two children while serving as a prosecutor and fulfilling her FINA responsibilities.

Along with Colin Hill, Marcel Wouda, Petar Stoychev and a slew of Olympic gold medalists and swimming heavyweights, Kamrau will speak about life Beyond The Pool Deck to the international aquatic audience in Doha.
