The Antigua & Barbuda Swimming Federation will be hosting its 28th annual National Open Water Swimming Championships.
With 1.4 km, 2.26 km and 5 km races, the Federation is held on Fort James Beach on St. John’s in Antigua where participants can race in different age divisions: 8 and under, 9-10 years, 11-12 years, 13-14 years, 15-16 years, 17-18 years, 19-24 years, 25-34 years, 35-44 years, 45 and over.
Other than a competitive open water swimming competition, Antigua & Barbuda, known as the Land of 365 Beaches, are separated by only a few nautical miles in the middle of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean Sea. That would seem like a cool channel swim.
