The Five Open Water Challenge, Hong Kong’s second World Open Water Swimming Series race of 2014, was held under stiff winds this past weekend, but the drive to make the event a success by athletes, volunteers and support crew was overwhelming.

The winds were tough, and made it hard to set the buoys, but the swimmers all made the course with Singha Chau and Olympic hopeful Fiona Chan took the honors for the Men’s and Women’s divisions, each winning HK$6,000,” said race director Doug Woodring.
