Crispin Thorold is anxious to tell people of his English Channel attempt on behalf of a friend.

The talented and experienced journalist who reported for the BBC from more than 20 countries on 4 continents has covered some of the defining moments in recent times.

He is using his media skills to describe human adventures in the open water, open water luminaries and the history of the sport on his website (see here) and to raise money to fund research of breast cancer due to the passing of his friend Rosie Choueka.

Read about his journey here.
