SLOW – or the Salt Lake Open Water Swim Club – is an open water swimming team and group of event organizers who live in the state of Utah and are based out of the Great Salt Lake. In addition to promoting open water swimming in Utah, SLOW monitors solo and relay crossings and the Utah Triple Crown, and organizes the Utah Open Water Series includes the following events: Utah Open Water Series Events: * January 1st: New Year’s Day Race * June: Great Salt Lake Open Water – 10 km + 1 mile * July: Bear Lake Monster Swim – 1/2 mile + 1 mile + 10 km * August: Deer Creek Open Water Marathon – 1 mile + 5 km + 10 km + 10 mile The Utah Triple Crown includes the 1o km Great Salt Lake Swim from Antelope Island to Black Rock Beach (see www.greatsaltlakeopenwater.com), the 10 km Bear Lake Monster Swim, and the 10-mile Deer Creek Open Water Marathon.
