Merle Liivand appeared on an NBC television show called, Woman Making a Difference.
The pool breaststroker and open water swimmer who lives, works and trains in Florida has represented her native Estonia in the 5 km and 10 km races at the 2017 and 2019 FINA World Championships while establishing a face care company Viking Beauty Secrets (https://vikingbeauty.com/).
She said, “I know how important is to have clean water to keep open water swimming alive. That’s why the swimming community should join with the WORLD CLEAN UP DAY that takes place on September 21st. I believe every single club, coach, swimming parent, athlete, organization, sponsor and business that is involved with our sport can and should give an extra hand on the World Clean Up Day.
