It is not often that a swimmer is single handedly responsible for two new terms in the open water swimming world.

But attorney Courtney Moate Paulk is not just anyone.

In August 2019, the president of Hirschler Law Firm became the first person to complete a Triple Triple, a series of marathon swims that three separate achievements of the Triple Crowns of Open Water Swimming by completing 3 English Channel crossings, three Catalina Channel crossings, and three Manhattan Island Marathon Swims (or 20 Bridges) during the course of their career.

Courtney Moates Paulk remains the only member of this exclusive Triple Tripler club.

But she outdid herself today with another English Channel crossing in over 17 hours which makes her a member of the Quadruple Triple club.

She appeared on an earlier WOWSA Live episode with Ned Denison, David Smith PhD, and Vicki Keith talking about having hallucinations during their long marathon swims.
